My Recent Discovery-CA1 Assignment

If you have noticed my skin recently, you would find that the flaking skin on my face has reduced drastically. You might not think that the skin on my body is getting better, but it is, actually.

During the December school holidays, my parents decided that I really needed a good doctor who knew how to cure my long-term skin problem which existed ever since I had just learnt to walk. I always encounted unbearable itch in the night, always tossing and turning on my bed continuously, normally slept late and repeatedly waking up to scratch. The scratching sound was similar to that of scrubbing clothes which often breaks the stillness of the night. Because of that, I often woke up letargic in the morning, and could not concentrate in class.

My parents had actually brought me to the Skin Centre several times and to other renowned dermatologists too, but the doctors there said that I would never recover and had to live with it. Whenever I went to a skin specialist, he or she will say "I am very sorry, but he is born like that and will never heal. Just put more moisturiser." and the skin will thicken even more! I am so used to that ridiculous remark that I always lose hope and also get furious whenever I heard it.

We even resorted to tradional Chinese medicine, which took a long time to brew and it tasted disgustingly bitter and smelt sour. The medicine was black and I am always reluctant to drink it as I am also afraid of what chemicals it contains, let be it poison! My parents were losing hope of my thickening "bullet-proof" skin healing, but they were willing to try one last time. They then thought for a long time, ran through the lists of good doctors and prayed to God for assistance, then eventually decided to bring me to a doctor near my school who was a skin specialist.

The doctor quickly identified it as dry and scaly skin and then got down to work, issuing the proper medications such as anti-bacteria shampoo and tablets that helps the skin to shed, to reveal the beautiful skin concealed underneath. My parents and I were elated about this chance of recovery and praised the Name On High.

I followed his prescriptions, and week after week, whenever I came back to the clinic, I noticed that my skin was getting better and thinner with every visit. It was also a little smoother than before.

I normally put moisturiser on my skin then, but the doctor has instructed me not to use it to allow it to shed, thus it appears a little whiter and flakier. However now I am much better than before and I will do my best to allow it to heal faster so I will not suffer for too long. I also learnt self-control, and one very important lesson, Nothing is impossible with God.

An Incident at the Bookstore-CA1 Assignment

It was raining cats and dogs yesterday afternoon when Mum went to fetch my younger brother home from school. Halfway, she stopped at Junction 8 to buy a few pens for us as the ones we have had run out of ink. Entering the Popular bookstore outlet on the fourth floor, they approached a sales assistant to help them to find a particular pen refill which only the bookshop staff has access to. According to my brother's descriptions, the sales assistant was a young woman who was unattentive to my Mum's instructions. She also could not carry out Mum's instructions even after she was told three times, and kept on returning with the wrong pen refill for all three times.

"A 0.7 pen refill." Mum said, loud and clear. "Oh...orrr..." She went in and took another type of refill, but although it was a Pilot 0.7 refill, it was still the wrong type of refill! It was most extraordinary that she kept on making mistakes even after four tries. She finally succeeded on her fifth attempt and my Mum heaved a sigh of relief.

I feel that when managers choose and select their staff, they should test them for their attentiveness, especially those on the frontline who are required to deal with customers. Training is also neccesary. This is to ensure that they do not displease customers due to their lack of concentration and attentiveness.

Although my Mum has forgiven that particular staff, she hopes that she will know her work better in future.

The past 3 days-CA1 Assignment

Last Wednesday I broke my slingbag carrying a much too heavy load in it to school. Its quality is quite inferior and thus its payload is lesser. I asked Mum to help me sew it up but she was doubtful that it would work. However when I went to sleep on Friday night, Mum stitched it up without me knowing and presented it to me the next day before I went to Boys Brigade practice. My Dad told me that he was going to buy me a better and larger bag later that day and we might also go to Funan Shopping Center to buy me the latest Adobe Indesigns and Photoshop software to aid me in my AEP work.

We did go to these two places though. I chose a glossy Adidas bag and then we proceded to buy it. After that we went to Challenger Electronics Megastore at Funan but there were many different packages available at $400 to $800, and that we were not sure as to which one to buy. Could you tell me if you know exactly which software to buy? I will appreciate it. Please write in the comments part.

During Boy's Brigade Day on Friday, I saw some of our fellow BB boys' disgusting behaviour. One of them did not wear his uniform and he also skipped the presentation. Some of them changed into their school uniforms during recess and played their fellow CCA mates out with their ill-behaviour. Fortunatly my four BB mates and I did not cheat on the uniform and presentation service.

About School

School is quite okay this year. Today I found out that the English teacher isn't that bad after all. Perhaps she is in a better mood today.

Tomorrow is BB day. It marks the 77th anniversary of Second Company.
It has a long heritage since 1931 and its boys have always won many awards, making it one of Singapore's best companies.

So I will stop here and see you soon!

My experience of creating a blog

It's quite hard, for me. I cannot find a suitable picture, and I think I will do it another day. The part of creating the blog, and the gmail account was easy, but when I checked blogskins.com for a suitable picture, only nonsense came out, like pictures of girls:(

It is a waste of time when you have spent 2+ hours in front of the screen, clicking and clicking and doing nothing. I am new in such techy stuff, not like some young street punks who think highly of themselves. But I will learn not to be so old fashioned.

I spent the whole day doing this, and now I have no time now for other things.
